It's been cold all day,and is supposed to be down to 19 by about 3 a.m. I had to make two pots of coffee to get through the time today, which went slowly. I'm back to running the heat in the shop, enclosed section of the barn, and the apartment as well as the house. Not much I can do about it, except hope for an early Spring.
I cleaned guns for awhile, and that's my major accomplishment. I also balanced some statements, and it's nice to have that out of the way.
Talked to my son . The cold up there is much worse, when he gets up to go to work tomorrow it will be a little below zero. I'm glad I don't live up in that city.
Tonight there's an episode of the old "Sherlock Holmes" from the 1980's. I enjoy those so I'm looking forward to that. Then at ten, the premier of Season Two for "The Americans" is on. I like to watch it and root against the "hero and heroine" who are Soviet spies living in America in the 1980's. They are nice people when they aren't murdering those who get in their way or blackmailing their victims.
I ordered a new book today:
It's by Osprey Publishing, an English company that puts out the very good "Man at Arms" and "Military Elites" series. If I like it I will order the rest in the series as they come out.
I also ordered this one a few days ago:
It's the third in a series. The first covered from about 1895 to the end of World War I. The second covered 1918 to the end of World War II, and now this one comes up to the present. The first two were ok, except they had lots of cut away drawings which I don't care for. But I can hardly own two without owning the third, it wouldn't be right.
I needed to go to the post office today and the grocery store. But I wasn't up to the trip. It's a pain, especially opening and closing the gate. I'll go tomorrow.
